Several Ways in Which Your Mobile Application Will be Affected by Android 11

Android 10 was a massive change for Google and all of us in the Operating System area. We got to access multiple features for which we were eagerly waiting, like the ultimate dark mode. Many of us were waiting to work darkly. We also faced many essential changes in the app permission area. We saw the beginning of a new era with this.

Android 10 was evidence of the development and maturity graph that Google has taken. Similar functions are being used over by the Android 11 developer preview at this moment. Multiple android application development companies are eagerly waiting for the changes to be adopted. Now that we are almost at the final position, the last developer preview is a perfect look into where Google is planning to shift the operating system.

Now, whenever any new update comes up, android application development companies get excited. With them, the stakeholders and the application owners also sit with excitement around May when Google announces a new version at the I/O events. Now, before we take a peek at how Android 11 impacts the app domain for android application development companies, let us first study the new functions that have come up in Android 11.

1. Various Betterments for Messaging

When you go through the latest Android 11, you will notice that multiple changes have been made to better the experience of messaging for the users. Some of the updates that you will go through are:

Bubbles - The chat bubbles in Android 11 will cover all the current conversations in small bubbles on the screen's edge. You can shift the bubble all around your screen and click them to open the particular discussion.

It has also come up with a conversation section in the notification panel, which will offer you easy and direct access to all the conversations you are having at that moment. This procedure has been done to make the experience of your messaging real-time.

With this Android version, it will now be possible to send pictures while replying to a notification panel message.

 2. OTP

If you compare this feature in Android 10, you will see that it handles the app permissions in a very user-friendly way. It gave the users great control over the applications and the things they could access in it. Now, in Android 11, when it asks for permission to access some features, the users get access only on a one-time basis. Once you quit the application, the consent will no longer be applicable.

3. Screen Recorder

Users have been waiting for a long time for this feature. Android 11 contains a screen recorder with an advanced UI and toggle for recording the audio and makes the touches on the recording visible.

These were some of the features that will be adopted with Android 11. Now, the vital thing we have to look at is how Android 11 will affect android application development companies and their applications. You might have noticed that the Android 11 changes have been classified into three functions: changes in behaviour, new privacy functions, and latest functions and APIs. Each one of these plays a role in affecting the performance of an application.

Now, these changes will significantly be looked upon by the android application development companies. So, let’s see how it affects the applications and the users too.

4. Restriction of Permission by the Users

Now, android application development companies will have to mention and convince users by giving the appropriate reason behind asking for permissions in their marketing strategies or through the MVP functions. If not done, then users will have the ability in Android 11 to reject your consent from clicking on the deny option, and if clicked on it twice, it will automatically implement 'Don't ask again.'

5. The Statistics of Usage of the Application Will be Kept Confidential

For advanced protection and security of the user's data, Android 11 will now keep all the statistics of the app's usage by the users in encrypted storage. This states that neither the application nor anything else can access the data until and unless any particular coding work is done. This is dependent on two points:

  • When the users unlock the device for the first time after the system's startup.
  • When users shift to their account on the device.

6. APK Installation

We all are aware that installing big APKs on our device takes a lot of time, even if the android application development companies have made a small change in it. Based on this, Android 11 has brought incremental APK installation. It speeds up the procedure by installing enough of the APK required to start the application while the rest of the data gets loaded in the background.

7. Assistance and Support for Neural Network Applications

If any android application development company’s app is built on ML and Neural networks, Android 11 will lend a big hand in making it more beneficial. With its new Neural Networks API, making significant efforts to make your MI applications run more calmly and smoothly.

8. A Framework to be Benefited from 5G

We all know that the 5G network holds a lot of benefits for mobile applications. Now, Android 11 will provide full support to this technology. It will directly help the businesses gain benefits from this through the perfect streaming speed and quick transfer of the file. It will provide you with the ideal user experience.
